My Name is Erica Hoglen.  What a privilege to say that God has blessed me with a wonderful family.  I dedicated my life and was saved at 17 years old.  Unfortunately, it is not always true that as a child we understand what that commitment to Christ involves.  This was something I came to understand through my Christian journey.  Although I believed the Gospel of Christ and his journey, I just was ill prepared when challenged to give up “fun” things in life.

My lifestyle continued unchanged for some time, I guess my Christian life was otherwise know as "Salvation with fringe benefits"  It was around that time, God blessed me with the trust of raising his children.  I had my first son at 20.  I found it extremely difficult to be the mother I needed to be.  I was young and still lacking maturity and responsibility.  Realizing that there was nowhere and no one to trust, I sought my Savior.  Through Loves window, I rapidly began to see those things God had so longed to show me.  As he walked with me, hand in hand, I began to realize that no matter what the world threw at me, God could and would lead me through it.  This was the true meaning of Salvation.  To be saved and become dependent on another for EVERYTHING, not just those circumstances I chose.

16 years later, I still proclaim the promise that God and my Savior Jesus Christ made so many years ago.  If we believe in Christ and his sacrificial life, we are then set free from this world and life of sin… a most blessed promise.  A promise that I desire my children to know, a promise I desire my friends to know, a promise I desire the LOST to know.  Indeed this is our only hope.  Without that hope, we would be destined for an eternity of suffering and torture.  Romans 5:8 tells us that “God commendeth his love toward us in that even while we were sinners, Christ died for us.”  The world we live in today is so corrupt, we can’t see past judgment to perform a good deed for our brother.  We should be pleading for help; we should desire that LOVE.

Please continue to pray for me, my family, FaithWalkers and all the lives touched by God’s Ministry.  Pray that God would massage and open the heart of the LOST and that his intimate love would change lives.  In return, I pray that God would bless each of you and that he would continue to shower the world with his Mercy, Love,  and Grace.
